Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program for Disordered Eating
Expert Care - at home
Our Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (VIOP) for eating disorders provides personalized treatment, whether you are stepping down from a previous residential or partial hospital program, stepping up from regular outpatient therapy, or seeking a stand-alone treatment.
What is Virtual Intensive Outpatient (VIOP) Treatment?
An IOP is a structured, non-residential psychological treatment program which addresses disorders through a combination of group-based psychotherapy, individual psychotherapy, family counseling and educational groups. A VIOP is the virtual/online version of an in-person IOP, wherein all groups and other sessions are attended on live video (note that clients who live close to one of our 4 locations may choose to attend individual and/or family sessions in person).
Who is appropriate for our Eating Disorder VIOP Program?
Individuals whose primary problem is an eating disorder (Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder, ARFID or Other Specified Eating Disorder), and who are free of safety issues (active self-harm, suicidal ideation or severely low body weight).

Does Anxiety Experts prescribe medication for patients in our VIOP?For outpatient clients, we are strictly involved in performing psychotherapy and medical nutrition services (virtual dietitian visits). However, we are happy to collaborate with physicians who may prescribe psychotropic medication for our clients or as needed to facilitate health restoration among our clients with disordered eating. For clients in our virtual IOP program, visits with our consulting psychiatrist may be included as a part of program.
